Embracing the Child develops libraries for organizations providing emergency shelters, foster care, "safe houses" and other residential facilities for victims of domestic violence, children with learning differences and emotionally disturbed teens based on each organization's specific needs and demographics. Embracing the Child also develops and facilitates reading and writing programs for an inner-city after-school program and summer camp for disadvantaged and at-risk youth that include reading, comprehension, writing and integrated language arts.
